IntroVertigo Recording is owned and operated by me, Jay Elliott, from my home in beautiful Boulder, Colorado.  

Music Production is my game. I LOVE making records. And I'm pretty good at it.

A bit of my own personal biography:  

I've been a musician in Boulder for nearly 30 years, and I've played drums with many of this area's best bands and artist since I moved here in 1994.  

I grew up in Western Massachusetts.  I hold a B.A. in History from UMASS Amherst and an M.A. in Media Studies from the world-renown New School in New York City. 

In addition to my roles as recording/mix engineer and drummer for hire, I am also an educator -  I am an adjunct faculty on the Music Production Program at RMCAD - Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design - (see my profile here) in Lakewood, CO, and I am a mentor at a wonderful program called madelife in Boulder.  I also give private instruction in music production and drum performance. 

I also do contract work for Octave Records as a recording and mix engineer, and I have worked on several acclaimed albums for that audiophile record label, including Foxfeather’s The Nature of Things, Thom Lafond’s The Moon Leans In and the forthcoming Lawless, Augustus’s Ragtime World, and upcoming releases from The Jeremy Mohney Band, The Gasoline Lollipops, Clandestine Amigo, acclaimed Blues artist Otis Taylor, The Tom Amend Octet, The Miguel Espinosa Fusion Band, Bill Kopper, and many others.

My studio, IntroVertigo Recording, is an extremely comfortable facility (with ridiculously competitive rates) suitable for almost all phases of the music production process - preproduction (writing, rehearsing, arranging and demos), tracking, editing and mixing.
